Tamworth Country Music Awards

The Brief

The Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA) engaged Fourth Wall Events in association with Active TV to produce their awards event so it would be suitable for prime time national audience.

Tamworth Country Music Awards is the night of nights for the country music industry and is the pinnacle of the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

The Approach

As the awards had been established in 1973, Fourth Wall Events brought a fresh approach to the night by changing the delivery of the event and producing a design that would appeal to both theatre and television audiences.

Working with the event committee and the CMAA board the decision was made to use one band that would play through-out the entire night, and then showcase vocalists who would be backed by the band. This enabled the event to run very smoothly and seamlessly, while showcasing the stars of the industry.

A new set design was invested in and produced in a manner that enabled it to be used in future years with a different design, thereby ensuring the awards are a premium experience.

The Results

The award event is now broadcast nationally on free to air and cable television and on live radio. The new set and change of delivery of the awards has resulted in increased prestige and event following.
