NIDA Events

The Brief

Fourth Wall Events long term association with the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) stems from when the company directors graduated from there in the technical production course. Since then the team have produced events from the Foundation launch with Cate Blanchett to the 50th Anniversary celebration and numerous other dinners, launches and media events.

The Approach

With such a rich dramatic history and with such prominence in the industry these events have to not only be highly theatrical but run to perfection. As part of integrating ourselves into the Institute Fourth Wall events works with the students to give them hands on experience and education at running events.

The approach is always to bring together all interested parties and use the resources to maximum outcome. This works perfectly to take advantage of the directing students, workshop resources, costume and props stores and of course the numerous venues.

For the 50th Anniversary Fourth Wall Events used the many different theatres and performance spaces, producing and managing an enormous event with constant entertainment over eight stages and over forty different spaces. This took many months of planning, buckets of creative innovation and mountains of patience and expert knowledge to achieve, and the outcome was well worth it.

The Results

Once every 50 years is a brief that has to be delivered perfectly and Fourth Wall Events enjoyed and lived up to the challenge, with NIDA retaining them for their future events and looking to them for continuous creative solutions.
