The Brief

The ARIAs are Australia’s biggest music award event, and Fourth Wall Events have worked with the producers and their teams to deliver the production management of the show.

The production management of this live television spectacular incorporates all elements from television infra-structure to the complete technical solution and ensures the staging goes to plan.

The Approach

Fourth Wall Events worked with the numerous stakeholders to bring to this rock and roll award event detailed production management and technical direction through their in-house resources and systems.

Over the event’s four hours the event team staged eight top Australian headline acts, an international megastar and delivered every special effect that could be included in the spectacular. The Fourth Wall Events’ team enjoyed the challenge of a non-stop set up period that went over six days, before going live to television and then a twenty hour bump-out in which over forty semitrailers of equipment were moved.

The Results

The delivery achieved a world class standard in technical and staging, regardless of the complexity that comes with the integration of each element into the design; and in 2009 staging the live television event in the round. Each year Fourth Wall Events achieved the delivery for less budget but still the same quality and detail.
